PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Three people believed to be connected to a deadly shooting and crash in north Phoenix earlier this week were detained and questioned early in the investigation, then released while the case continues.

The shooting happened just after midnight Wednesday near 31st Avenue and Blackhawk Drive, just north of the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway.
Christian Brickhouse, 21, was found inside a car that had crashed into a brick wall. Police say he had been shot at least once.
He later died after being transported to a nearby hospital.
Phoenix Police said the three people were released based on what they told investigators and what was known at the time.
When the investigation is finished, police said they plan to forward any recommended charges involving the three to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
