Joshua Jacobs, 46, was wanted by authorities in DeKalb County, Georgia, on child sexual exploitation charges of a 12-year-old. Investigators say Jacobs allegedly communicated with the victim online and exchanged over 100 photos and videos of child sex abuse material. He allegedly threatened to expose the victim’s identity if the child stopped making and sending the content.

A warrant was issued for Jacobs’ arrest, and the U.S. Marshals Service determined that Jacobs had fled to Arizona.

U.S. Marshals tracked Jacobs to an apartment complex in Glendale, where they believe he had been living. Jacobs was identified as the wanted suspect and taken into custody at the complex on July 1.

Investigators found evidence linked to the alleged crime and believe there could be more unidentified victims.
