PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A female inmate tried to escape Wednesday at a Phoenix hospital with a traditional ruse, but it didn’t go the way she planned.

It happened at the Valleywise Health Medical Center at 24th and Roosevelt streets.
The woman asked to use the restroom and tried to escape by climbing into the ceiling, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.
It’s unclear how far she made it, but the sheriff’s office later said she was found between two walls. She was rescued and medically examined.
Her name and the charges she faces have not been released.
