TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A Tucson man is in custody on multiple sexual assault charges after several victims came forward, including one who says she was raped more than 30 years ago when she was 8 years old.

Oneal Lamar Christopher, 48, is being held on a $500,000 bond while facing multiple sexual assault charges, according to the Tucson Police Department.
TPD served a warrant for Christopher’s arrest on June 11. He has been charged in connection with the sexual assault cases, including one involving Diamond Tatum-Ogletree. TPD said the incidents occurred over 35 years.
Victim says she was not believed as a child
Tatum-Ogletree said she never felt anyone believed her when she reported her assault, which she says occurred when she was 8 years old. She said her mother filed a police report about it in 1992.
Tatum-Ogletree spoke about the guilt she felt following her assault.
“There’s a lot of shame that comes with this,” Tatum-Ogletree said. “And my purpose is that I lived it, I healed through it, we’re okay. And it was harmful and hurtful to hear that other women had experienced this. And that’s, I think that’s the thing that bothers me the most is that, had I been listened to and had I been heard as an eight year old, these women would not have experienced that.”

The sexual assaults were reported in 1992, 2004, 2005, and 2022.
Police say two of the four cases got DNA hits from sexual assault kits had been tested.
