LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — Police say a shoplifting case helped crack open a massive Lake Havasu jewelry heist investigation that ended with four arrests.

According to police, the first burglary happened between the evening of Feb. 15 and the morning of Feb. 16 at a jewelry store on Lake Havasu Avenue South, near Swanson Avenue in Lake Havasu City. The suspects forced their way into the store, rummaged through jewelry display cases and ultimately stole $742,000 in merchandise.
At about 10:45 a.m. on May 6, officers were called out to a jewelry store near the Lake Havasu City Airport after suspects broke into the business through an adjacent suite and stole a “substantial quantity of jewelry,” police said, before taking off.
Police said an unrelated shoplifting incident led them to one of the suspects on June 3. The following interviews helped them identify a second suspect in the first burglary and the prime suspect in the second burglary.
Later that morning, after pulling a driver over who was not related to the burglary, the passenger ran and then got into a fight with officers. Investigators then figured out he was the fourth suspect in the jewelry thefts. They have been identified as:

- Brian Goaziou, 55, of Lake Havasu City
- Sandra Fergin, 53, of Lake Havasu City
- Bryon Upham, 49, of California
- Carly Ferris, 31, of California
Through multiple interviews and searches of different places, detectives said they found drugs connected to the suspects. They included:
- 2.41 pounds of methamphetamine
- 42.8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
- 19 packages of 2500 mg psilocybin mushroom gummy candy
- 376.9 grams of marijuana
- 1.7 grams of ketamine
- 0.4 grams of clonazepam pills
- 1.1 grams of phenethylamine
- 11.1 grams of cocaine
Goaziou is facing burglary and theft charges. Upham is facing burglary, drug and weapons charges. Fergin was booked on theft, drug and weapons charges. Ferris is facing drug and weapons charges.
