WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPBF) – A Florida grandmother remains in the intensive care unit after police say her grandson stabbed her nearly a dozen times on Mother’s Day.

Keo Nottage is charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault after police say he stabbed his grandmother 11 times Sunday over a dinner-related dispute.
The victim and another family member went to the store for groceries to cook a Mother’s Day dinner, according to court records. When they asked Nottage for help, police say he got mad, saying “Someone is going to die today.”
Shortly after, police say he stabbed his grandmother over and over again.
Nottage’s cousin told investigators when he walked in, the suspect began chasing him with a knife as he ran to call for help.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where she remains in the ICU. Investigators have expressed uncertainty about whether she will survive.
Meanwhile, Nottage was booked in the Palm Beach County Jail. He appeared in court Monday, but deputies had to remove him from the courtroom after several interruptions during the proceedings.

Nottage is being held without bond pending another hearing.
