A much calmer day in Tucson but slight chance for storms near Cochise County

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – After a record breaking day of rain yesterday, drier air has begun to filter into the region from the west. We should see much less thunderstorm activity today as a result. Temps will be below normal.

Best chance of thunderstorms will be along the White Mountains, near the New Mexico border, and Cochise County.

Dry weekend with seasonable temperatures!

FIRST ALERT 7 DAY:

Today – Sunny, with a high near 99. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight – Mostly clear, with a low around 73. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Juneteenth – Sunny, with a high near 101. Calm wind becoming west southwest 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night – Clear, with a low around 72. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 102. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Saturday Night – Clear, with a low around 71.

Sunday – Sunny, with a high near 102.
