Pedestrian dies months after being hit near Drachman, Stone in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Police Department identified a pedestrian killed in a crash near Drachman and Stone.

The TPD said the crash happened on March 3.

The pedestrian, identified as 74-year-old Nicholas Roy Irick, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.

The Tucson Police Department was notified by the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner on Monday, June 15, that Irick died from his injuries.

Police said Irick was crossing Stone against a green traffic signal and did not yield to oncoming traffic.

He was hit by a Pontiac Grand Prix traveling south on Stone Avenue in the median lane.

This investigation is ongoing.
