Shortly after 6:30 p.m., Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies received a report that a man floating in the water hadn’t been spotted for 10 minutes.
Deputies say the 20-year-old man was initially floating on an inflatable tube that later washed up on the shoreline, but he was nowhere to be found. Witnesses told deputies that the man wasn’t wearing a life vest.
Arizona’s Family news chopper witnessed MCSO’s helicopter circling the area and deputies searching near the boat ramp.

Authorities are searching the lake to find the missing man. The investigation remains ongoing.
