LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — U.S. Marshals arrested a 21-year-old man wanted on a North Las Vegas warrant for murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon, authorities said.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Kali Hines was arrested Thursday evening by the Utica Division of the New York, New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force after investigators determined he had fled Nevada and was hiding in the area.

North Las Vegas police requested help locating and arresting Hines, the Marshals Service said. Task force members conducted surveillance at a Utica residence, confirmed Hines was inside, and took him into custody.

Hines was taken to the Utica Police Department for processing and is expected to appear before a judge. Authorities said he is expected to be held as a fugitive from justice pending extradition to Nevada.
The Marshals Service said the Utica Police Department Tactical Unit, the FBI and New York State Police Aviation assisted in the arrest.
