Just before 8 p.m., first responders were called to the crash at Longview and Weldon avenues, near 12th Street and Indian School Road.

Police say two boys, ages 13 and 14, were riding a motorized mini bike when they collided with an SUV. Both were taken to a hospital in critical condition, where police say they are expected to survive.

Detectives believe the boys, who were riding the same bike, ran a stop sign just before the crash occurred. Video from the scene showed damage to the driver’s side of the SUV.
