Crews with Ladder 184 were called out after someone heard a kitten meowing inside their home. It was even more concerning since the homeowner did not own a cat.

Firefighters were not kitten around; they got straight to work. The crew discovered the furball had gone into the dryer vent from the outside and become trapped inside the dryer.

Firefighters moved the appliance away from the vent and disassembled it.

They then pulled the stray cat out, saving it from a tight s-paw-t.

Firefighters said they left the kitten with the homeowner and provided them with information on nearby cat rescue organizations.
