SAFE Alert issued for missing Tucson man

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A SAFE Alert has been issued for a vulnerable Tucson man who was last seen near Escalante and Pantano early Thursday, June 1.

The Tucson Police Department said 68-year-old Theodore “Ted” Keith left his home in the morning, did not take his cell phone, and has not been seen since.

Arizona DPS said Keith, who suffers from severe memory loss and confusion, may have gotten onto a bus. A similar incident happened eight months ago, but Keith was found safe at a Sherwin-Williams, according to DPS.

The TPD said the 5-foot-7, 125-pound Keith has white hair, white beard, and blue eyes. He was wearing a brown baseball cap, gray T-shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.

Keith uses a walker and cane to get around, according to the TPD.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
