On Monday, June 8, a SVPD officer pulled a car over for speeding and learned the driver, an off-duty SVPD officer, was impaired.
SVPD passed the investigation over to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies administered sobriety tests and concluded the officer was under the influence.
“The on-duty officer’s response to this incident demonstrates the professionalism and integrity we expect from every member of our department,” SVPD Chief Chris Hiser said.
