TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office says Tombstone Mayor Dusty Escapule was hurt in a crash this morning, May 12.

The CCSO says the crash happened a little after 9:30 a.m. near East Fremont and North San Diego Street in Tombstone.
The initial investigation indicates a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 was making a left turn onto Camino San Rafael when it was hit by a 2023 Dodge Ram 3500 van heading west on Fremont.
The van then veered into a parked car and the truck went off the shoulder of the road.

Mayor Escapule was driving the truck and was taken to the Canyon Vista Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
The van driver was not injured.
