GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A deadly crash involving a bicyclist closed a portion of Grand Avenue in Glendale early Monday morning.
The crash was reported just before 4 a.m. on Grand Avenue near Myrtle Avenue. A damaged bicycle could be seen in the road as Arizona’s Family arrived at the scene.
Glendale Police said a woman was found unresponsive in the roadway. She was taken to a hospital, where she died. The woman has not yet been publicly identified.
The city’s Real-Time Crime Center found that the woman was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Grand And Myrtle avenues. She was then hit by two other vehicles, police said.
No descriptions were available for the vehicles that were involved, and none remained at the scene. Police added that the drivers may be unaware of hitting the person.

Grand Avenue was closed in both directions from Orangewood Avenue to 57th Avenue for several hours as police investigated the crash. The road fully reopened around 8:50 a.m.
An investigation into the deadly crash is still ongoing.
