Here’s a list of some events happening around Tucson this weekend.

FRIDAY 6/5

Dive-In Movie

The Omni Tucson Resort and Hotel is hosting Dive-in Movies every Friday and Saturday. Families can purchase a pass, $12 for adults and $8 for kids under two, and enjoy a night of family-friendly entertainment. This weekend’s movie selection includes Toy Story and Toy Story 2.

When: 6:00 p.m.

Where: The Omni Tucson Resort & Spa

Tios & Tias

DJ Chris Villa and DJ Nina are putting on a night of “backyard boogie style” music. All night long, attendees can enjoy music from the 80’s and 90’s, funk, freestyle, R & B and more.

Tickets to the event start at $30 for general admission standing and $54 for VIP.

When: 8:00 p.m.- 2:00 a.m.

SATURDAY 6/6

The World Margarita Championship

Art State Arizona and Tucson Originals Restaurants is bringing back Tucson’s most spirited cocktail competition. The night will feature cocktails, bites from 36 different Tucson Originals Restaurants’ and guest chefs and live music. Guests will also get to vote on their favorite margarita of the night.

Tucson Now Host Devyn Shea, sat down with Da’Lice Shepard of Art State Arizona to get the behind the scenes of what goes into putting on an event like this.

Tickets for the event start at $80 for general admission and $100 for VIP.

When: 5:00 p.m. for VIP and 6:00 p.m. for GA

Nostalgia Night

Relive your inner child at the Children’s Museum Tucson’s Nostalgia Night. The event will be a night of food, drinks, activities and full access to the museum after dark.

Tickets start at $35 for general admission and $50 for VIP, which includes two drink tickets.

HOME Gallery Opening

The Decode Gallery is holding an opening night event for their latest photography exhibit “HOME”.

The event is free and open to the public.

When: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where: The Decode Gallery, Tucson

Summer Safari Nights – Animals in Astronomy

The Reid Park Zoo is putting on another year of Summer Safari Nights. Each weekend will include a theme and different activities such as, animal encounters, crafts and games.

Tickets to the event are free for children under two and for zoo members, $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8.50 for kids under 14.

When: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: The Reid Park Zoo, Tucson

SUNDAY 6/7

Loft Kids Fest

For 11 days throughout the summer, Loft Cinema’s Kids Fest will play free family-friendly movies. This weekend’s movie selection is Beauty and the Beast Sing Along and E.T.

The movie starts at 10:00 a.m. and doors open at 9:15. Tickets are available at the box office day of.
