Heavy police presence at home near Mission, Starr Pass in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – There was a heavy police presence at a home near South Mission Road and West Starr Pass Bouelvard in Tucson late Wednesday, June 3.

The Tucson Police Department could only say it was responding to a call in the area.

According to a 13 News photographer on the scene, dozens of officers and SWAT were surrounding a home in the 2100 block of South Ilios Place. The photographer said the road was blocked off and was an active scene as of 10:30 p.m.

The TPD’s Real Event Time Tracker said at least 37 units were called to a home in the 1900 block of West King Avenue around 4:45 p.m. for a property crime. West King Avenue is just north of South Ilios Place. According to the tracker, it was a Level 1 call, which means someone’s life was in immediate danger.
