3 hospitalized, 7 others treated for bee stings at Chandler Intel campus

CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Three people were hospitalized Monday morning after a swarm of bees stung multiple people at an Intel manufacturing campus in Chandler.

Chandler firefighters responded around 8 a.m. to reports of multiple bee sting victims at the campus, located west of Dobson Road.

Three people were taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to Chandler Fire. Seven others were treated at the scene, but didn’t need to be hospitalized.

It’s unclear what may have caused the bees to become agitated.
