PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — One person is dead after shooting another person, then themself, Tuesday night in the West Valley.

Peoria police officers were called to the area of 87th and Peoria avenues around 9 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived and found two adults who had been shot.
An initial investigation found that one person shot the other before taking their own life, Peoria Police said. The shooting victim’s status is unclear.
Police said the two people knew each other, and there is no threat to the public.

This incident is still under investigation, and it’s unclear what led to the shooting at this point.
