MESA, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 One person is dead, and eight others are in the hospital after a violent rollover crash in Mesa on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Investigators say just before 9 a.m., a sedan driver ran a red light near State Route 24 and Signal Butte Road and crashed into a large passenger van. The impact caused the van to roll over and land upside down. <\/p>\n

Police said 10 people were inside the van, killing one person and sending seven others to the hospital. The victim was later identified as 51-year-old Evon Zubah. <\/p>\n

The sedan driver was also hospitalized. Police said all eight people hospitalized have minor injuries and are expected to survive. <\/p>\n

Impairment does not appear to be a factor, Mesa police said. However, it\u2019s unclear if the sedan driver will face charges in connection to the crash. <\/p>\n
