PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Veterans who were deceived by a company that allegedly offered services it was not authorized to provide are eligible for restitution, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

Mayes said her office secured $1.95 million in restitution, civil penalties and fees from White Tanks Group LLC, which operated as VetLink Solutions.<\/p>\n

From 2019 to 2024, Mayes\u2019s office said the company violated the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act by telling veterans it could guide them through the benefits process, promising unrealistic increases in benefits. The company would allegedly charge veterans substantial fees for the services that only accredited VA representatives were authorized to provide, Mayes\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

\u201cVeterans deserve trusted assistance\u2014not deceptive sales tactics,\u201d Mayes said. \u201cMy office will continue to hold accountable anyone who tries to take advantage of our veterans.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the settlement, the company is permanently prohibited from misleading consumers about their ability to \u201cprepare, present, or prosecute VA benefit claims unless they have received VA accreditation,\u201d Mayes\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

Veterans who are eligible for restitution will be contacted by mail within the next few weeks, officials said.<\/p>\n
