Within about a minute, Reinke said, they noticed what looked like strobe lights in the sky \u2014 then came upon a violent collision.<\/p>\n<p>Two vehicles had crashed and erupted into flames, trapping six people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe saw it and she\u2019s like, \u2018Dad, they need help,\u2019\u201d Reinke said.<\/p>\n<p>Elianna immediately called 911 and moved to stop traffic, Reinke said, while directing him toward the wreck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe grabbed my phone. She\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m going to stop traffic, call 911. You go get them,\u2019\u201d Reinke said.<\/p>\n<p>He said he helped pull one person from a vehicle first. The most urgent situation, he said, was a truck with five people still inside as fire pushed up from the back.<\/p>\n<p>Other drivers stopped to help \u2014 including two men Reinke identified as Mark and Tim \u2014 and the strangers quickly became a team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the midst of the chaos, it almost felt like unspoken orchestration,\u201d Reinke said.<\/p>\n<p>They broke windows and tried to reach the people trapped on the passenger side, but the flames made it impossible. Reinke said the group then flipped the truck to reach them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI grabbed a hold of her. The other guys grabbed arms and we just kind of pulled her out,\u201d Reinke said.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=564\">Medical Examiner report traces timeline of ICE detainee\u2019s care in Arizona before death<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Firefighters arrived shortly afterward and transported all six injured people to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>One of the families is now speaking publicly to thank the rescuers. Jeffrey Johnson said his mother and other relatives were in one of the vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank the Lord that they were there,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cIt\u2019s amazing to hear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Johnson said his family members are hurt, but recovering \u2014 and still stunned that strangers rushed in without hesitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo have a group of people that didn\u2019t know each other \u2026 come together and make that happen in such a quick time \u2014 it saved lives,\u201d Johnson said.<\/p>\n<p>A GoFundMe has been set up to help some of the victims in the crash. <\/p>\n<p>Reinke said a firefighter later told Elianna the bystanders\u2019 actions made the difference between life and death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe group of people here are the reason those six people are still alive,\u201d Reinke said he was told.<\/p>\n<p>At home, Reinke and Elianna are simply father and daughter \u2014 and on the softball field, coach and player.
