(CNN) \u2014 President Donald Trump is facing increased pressure over rising gas prices, and energy experts say pain at the pump is only going to get worse.<\/p>\n

Experts said gas prices are expected to average $5 a gallon in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Crude oil is forecast to average $130 a barrel next quarter and could balloon to $150 a barrel.<\/p>\n

Energy analysts said the only way to ease that pressure is for the Strait of Hormuz to reopen.<\/p>\n

The strait has been logjammed since the Iran war started in late February.<\/p>\n

Trump has taken steps designed to limit the damage, including easing some sanctions on Russia and Venezuela and using the U.S. oil stockpile.<\/p>\n

But the energy crisis continues.<\/p>\n

The White House said these are temporary disruptions and that once traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is normalized, energy prices will drop.<\/p>\n
