{"id":517,"date":"2026-05-19T14:06:29","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T14:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=517"},"modified":"2026-05-19T14:06:29","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T14:06:29","slug":"4-arrested-in-drive-by-shooting-at-scottsdale-short-term-rental","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=517","title":{"rendered":"4 arrested in drive-by shooting at Scottsdale short-term rental"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<section>\n<p><b>SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Four men have been arrested in connection to a reported drive-by shooting at a Scottsdale short-term rental earlier this year. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=515\">Man dies after being struck by car in west Phoenix<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scottsdale police say the following suspects were taken into custody:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Gabriel Chiruza Lunyerere, 21<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Kywan Jones, 24<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Jamir Smith, 22<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Michel \u201cRay\u201d Kasereka, 20<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On April 12, shortly before 11 p.m., Scottsdale police received reports of shots fired at a rental property near Hayden and McDowell roads. Officers found multiple bullet strikes that hit the home, and numerous shell casings were scattered throughout the area. <\/p>\n<p>Police say several adults were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no one was struck by gunfire. <\/p>\n<p>Using surveillance video, forensic evidence and social media, Scottsdale detectives identified Lunyerere, Jones, Smith and Kasereka as the alleged suspects.
