PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Peoria Unified School District says police have finished their work at the district\u2019s Administration Center \u2014 where investigators had been gathering records as part of a sexual misconduct investigation involving two former teachers \u2014 and have turned the building back over to the district.<\/p>\n

The search is connected to a Peoria police investigation involving Angela Burlaka and Haley Beck, former Centennial High School teachers who were fired after being accused of sexual conduct with the same teenage boy.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the district said it appreciated the professionalism officers showed during the process, including efforts to limit disruptions at district facilities. <\/p>\n

Peoria Unified also said it will continue to cooperate fully and provide investigators what they need \u201cto conduct a complete and thorough investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peoria police have not said what, if anything, they took while serving the search warrant.<\/p>\n

Peoria Unified also tried to clear up earlier comments it made about the second search warrant, saying its concern was not with officers or the investigation.<\/p>\n

The district said it believed it had met the requirements of the first warrant served May 28 and continued turning over additional records as they were identified. <\/p>\n

The district said the July 6 warrant sought records outside the original request \u2014 records the district said it was prepared to provide directly \u2014 and that its frustration was with the impact on school-opening preparations.<\/p>\n

The district is planning to have a public meeting next week, July 16, where people will be allowed to discuss this week\u2019s events.<\/p>\n

The first day of school is scheduled for Aug. 3.<\/p>\n

No arrests or charges have been made in the case.<\/p>\n
