(13 News) &#8211; A former Tucson man has been arrested and is accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=3401\">Woman arrested in connection with deadly 2024 pedestrian crash in Goodyear<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Tucson Police Department said John \u201cLincoln\u201d Sperry was arrested on two counts of sexual conduct with a minor.<\/p>\n<p>The 65-year-old Sperry was taken into custody in Prescott on July 8 and will be extradited to Pima County.<\/p>\n<p>The TPD said the investigation began in 2004, when the Arizona Department of Child Safety reported that Sperry had sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.<\/p>\n<h3><b>RELATED COVERAGE<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span><i><u><b>DNA grant leads to convictions in sexual assault cold cases in Tucson<\/b><\/u><\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><i><u><b>Tucson woman raped as teen gets justice after testing of backlogged sexual assault kit<\/b><\/u><\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><i><u><b>Pima County attorney outlines challenges of prosecuting sexual assault cold cases decades later<\/b><\/u><\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The TPD started an investigation, but the case was ultimately closed.
