COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS\/Gray News) – A former church treasurer is accused of stealing more than $400,000 from the church.<\/p>\n

Latrise Seward is accused of using her access to the church\u2019s bank accounts to make unauthorized personal purchases totaling $402,655.45 between Jan. 1, 2018, and Aug. 29, 2025, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.<\/p>\n

Seward, who admitted to making the purchases, worked as the treasurer of Mechanicsville United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n
