TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Police Department has identified the suspect in a 1995 cold case. <\/p>\n

Back in March 1995, 38-year-old Luis Gustavo Suchite was found at an apartment complex located at 2020 South Columbus Boulevard with a gunshot wound. <\/p>\n

The TPD said Suchite was taken to Tucson Medical Center, where he later died. <\/p>\n

Detectives said that Suchite had recently had a falling out with his roommate, 20-year-old Jose Luis Mota, who had moved out before the shooting. <\/p>\n

At the time, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Mota and were unable to locate him, according to the TPD. <\/p>\n

The TPD said as part of a 2026 Cold Case Unit review, detectives learned Mota had been using an alias. Through relatives, the detectives identified the suspect as Guillermo Enamorado-Flores. <\/p>\n

Detectives determined that Enamorado-Flores had died in a car crash in Honduras back in July 1995. <\/p>\n

The TPD said that if Enamorado-Flores had been alive, they would seek his arrest for first-degree murder. <\/p>\n

The Pima County Attorney\u2019s Office has expected the case to now be closed.<\/p>\n
