(13 News) &#8211; The trials for the two remaining suspects in the fatal shooting of University of Arizona student Erin Jones in 2024 have been pushed back.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=2667\">Extreme heat and rain chances in Tucson<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Motion hearings were held today, June 25, for Estevan Garcia, and Akeem Alvarez.<\/p>\n<p>The judge approved a motion to reschedule their trials.<\/p>\n<p>Garcia was scheduled to stand trial July 15 and Alvarez was scheduled for August 18.<\/p>\n<p>Both of those dates have been vacated and new dates will be discussed at a hearing July 10.<\/p>\n<p>Tevion Matthew Beale has already received 12 years, with credit for 714 days served. He also got probation for five years after pleading guilty to drive-by shooting and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n<p>You can watch his sentencing in the video player.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus Ian Williams, 19, received 14 years in prison and probation for five years when he was sentenced in April 2026. Garcia and Alvarez are both facing murder charges.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=2665\">Keeping kids cool and safe this summer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The shooting happened during a house party in the 3200 block of East 5th Street around 1:40 a.m. The home is near Country Club and Alvernon.<\/p>\n<p>The Tucson Police Department said the 20-year-old Jones was found shot and died at a local hospital.
