TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A Tempe couple said they are looking for answers after a Jeep crashed into their home before sunrise and then drove away.<\/p>\n

The homeowners said the damage was left behind after a driver crashed into their home near Southern Road and Rural Ave. early Tuesday morning. The front entrance is now boarded up, and they said the driver \u201cnever stopped, never called police and simply drove away.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI woke up to a big bang and thought it was the garbage man in the alleyway,\u201d Ashley Turnquist said.<\/p>\n

She said she got out of bed just before 5 Tuesday morning and told her husband, \u201cHoly (expletive). Like there\u2019s a hole in our house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashley and Jason Turnquist shared photos showing tire marks where the driver crossed through their front yard before crashing into the front of the house. They said the impact ripped down the front door and tore up the surrounding frame.<\/p>\n

Jason Turnquist said, \u201cI saw the Jeep\u201d and ran to grab his shoes, but he was already down the block and couldn\u2019t even see him anymore.<\/p>\n

The couple said they turned to social media asking the community for help. They said a neighbor shared video showing the moments leading up to the impact.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, he really hit the most perfect spot of the entire house,\u201d Jason Turnquist said. \u201cLike if you got into a little left, he would have hit that all that block.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason said the crash left \u201ca fairly clean\u201d \u201centrance and exit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple said they were already in the middle of a remodel and the crash created an unexpected project. \u201cEverything that was ruined is cosmetic and can be fixed,\u201d Ashley Turnquist said.<\/p>\n

They also said they are thankful no one was hurt. \u201cOur grandmother-in-law lives right there in that room. So she was there,\u201d Jason said. \u201cAll the dogs were in our room. And so all the dogs are fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tempe police said the driver is still out there and Ashley said she is \u201creally having my head on a swivel and keep an eye out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The homeowners said first responders told them this was the second case of a car crashing into a home in Tempe that morning. Tempe police are asking anyone with information about the driver to contact them.<\/p>\n
