While MCDPH did not specify where the case may have originated, officials warned that people who were at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport\u2019s Terminal 4 between 6 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17 may have been exposed.<\/p>\n<p>Just under halfway through the year, the number of confirmed measles cases in Maricopa County has reached 16, which health officials say is significantly higher than the annual average of one case per year over the past three decades. <\/p>\n<p>Public notifications are issued when exposed individuals cannot be identified, allowing people who may have been in a public setting at the same time as an infectious person to learn of their potential exposure and take protective steps. MCDPH said it will issue public notifications through the media and update its online list of exposure sites as additional public exposures are identified.<\/p>\n<p>Measles symptoms include a high fever (above 101 degrees), red, watery eyes, cough and runny nose.
