LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Police say a shoplifting case helped crack open a massive Lake Havasu jewelry heist investigation that ended with four arrests.<\/p>\n

According to police, the first burglary happened between the evening of Feb. 15 and the morning of Feb. 16 at a jewelry store on Lake Havasu Avenue South, near Swanson Avenue in Lake Havasu City. The suspects forced their way into the store, rummaged through jewelry display cases and ultimately stole $742,000 in merchandise.<\/p>\n

At about 10:45 a.m. on May 6, officers were called out to a jewelry store near the Lake Havasu City Airport after suspects broke into the business through an adjacent suite and stole a \u201csubstantial quantity of jewelry,\u201d police said, before taking off.<\/p>\n

Police said an unrelated shoplifting incident led them to one of the suspects on June 3. The following interviews helped them identify a second suspect in the first burglary and the prime suspect in the second burglary.<\/p>\n

Later that morning, after pulling a driver over who was not related to the burglary, the passenger ran and then got into a fight with officers. Investigators then figured out he was the fourth suspect in the jewelry thefts. They have been identified as:<\/p>\n
