Williams pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors said Williams was the father of the child, identified in paperwork as \u201cRiyary E.\u201d Court paperwork said the child suffered a \u201csevere hypoxic brain injury\u201d after being delivered by emergency C-section at 32 weeks. San Diego police say the baby died at the hospital about a week after the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors allege Williams got a Lyft from Phoenix to San Diego, tracked down Edwards, lured her outside with flowers and shot her outside a vacation rental.<\/p>\n<p>Williams was also charged with being unlawfully in possession of a machine gun.<\/p>\n<h2>Recorded confession<\/h2>\n<p>Investigators have recordings where Williams reportedly admits to killing Edwards.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona\u2019s Family obtained one of them where Williams said, \u201cYo, I\u2019m not going to be on the game for years. I just killed my baby mama, fool. They\u2019re looking for me right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A second recording was mentioned in a previous court hearing, where he said, \u201cI shot this ***** in the face. On God, I shot this ***** dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors said the recordings were made after the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Friends say Jariah\u2019s world revolved around her unborn daughter.<\/p>\n<h2>Prior allegations of violence<\/h2>\n<p>Court documents reveal allegations of violence years before Edwards was killed.<\/p>\n<p>According to an Arizona search warrant affidavit from September 2024, a 17-year-old victim identified Williams as her boyfriend after going to a hospital with stab wounds, cuts and bruises.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/tucsonmovingreport.com\/?p=2174\">Traffic stop escalates into police grappling reckless driver in Chandler<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The victim reported Williams threatened her, saying, \u201cIf I have to kick down the door, you\u2019re not going to make it home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The affidavit alleges Williams stabbed a bedroom door with a kitchen knife, forced his way inside and beat her with a dog collar. Court records show this happened while an order of protection was already in place.<\/p>\n<p>Edwards\u2019 friends also described troubling behavior in her relationship with Williams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe had to be on the phone with him.
