TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A Tucson man has been accused of kidnapping, assaulting, and stalking his ex-girlfriend.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Ernesto Fuentes-Barnett, 29, is facing charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, disorderly conduct with a weapon, stalking, and prohibited possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond.<\/p>\n

During his initial court appearance on Friday, June 12, the state said the 29-year-old Fuentes-Barnett has a criminal history and a pending felony case. That is why the state asked that he be held without bond. The judge set a no-bond hearing at 1:30 p.m. June 17.<\/p>\n

According to the interim complaint, Fuentes-Barnett and his ex-girlfriend were in a relationship for three years but recently broke up. He is accused in two separate incidents — June 4 and June 12.<\/p>\n

In the first incident, Fuentes-Barnett allegedly drove up and down the victim\u2019s street, was armed, and intentionally crashed into her vehicle.<\/p>\n

He accused the victim of being unfaithful and made vague threats against her. He also allegedly said if she called the police, he would get into a shootout with them.<\/p>\n

Investigators said police tried to pull Fuentes-Barnett, but he refused to stop and was able to get away.<\/p>\n

He later admitted to hitting her vehicle, but claimed it was an accident. He also said that while he saw the police vehicles, he didn\u2019t think they were coming for him.<\/p>\n

The victim told police she \u201cfeared for her life as Jonathan has access to weapons and has made numerous threats to hurt her.<\/p>\n

During the June 12 incident, Fuentes-Barnett allegedly found the victim where she was sleeping in her vehicle.<\/p>\n

The victim said Fuentes-Barnett jumped inside and had a firearm. She said he put the gun on his lap when he got into the passenger\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n

Fuentes-Barnett allegedly told the victim to drive away and not get out of the vehicle. While he tried to keep the victim from stopping for police, officers were able to pull the car over and take Fuentes-Barnett into custody.<\/p>\n

The victim said she doesn\u2019t know how Fuentes-Barnett found her on June 12 and feared he was using GPS to track her because he kept showing up wherever she went.<\/p>\n

Fuentes-Barnett admitted to having a gun and that he carries it for protection. He also admitted to having a criminal history but was \u201cunsure\u201d if his gun rights had been restored.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, Fuentes-Barnett has a long and violent criminal history in Pima County.<\/p>\n
