(CNN) – A newly released dashcam video shows a police officer accidentally shooting a fellow cop.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened inside a Pasadena police parking garage last September, but the video was just released Wednesday.<\/p>\n

A patrol car can be seen in the video pulling up behind two officers who were standing by another vehicle. <\/p>\n

One of the officers standing outside drew his gun and pointed it at the officer inside the patrol car before putting it back in the holster.<\/p>\n

The officer inside the car then drew his gun, and it discharged with a bullet going through the windshield, striking one of the standing officers in the shoulder.<\/p>\n

Pasadena\u2019s police chief said the injured officer has since recovered and disciplinary action was taken in what was described as a \u201chorseplay\u201d incident. <\/p>\n
