TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – You\u2019re never too far from fun in southern Arizona. Here\u2019s a roundup of events happening this weekend and some going on throughout the summer!<\/p>\n

FRIDAY 6\/12<\/h3>\n

$5 Fridays at the Tucson Botanical Gardens<\/b><\/p>\n

The Tucson Botanical Gardens are bringing back $5 Fridays! Every Friday through the summer, admission to the gardens is discounted. Enjoy a day in nature and check out rotating exhibits like the new Hidden in Plain Sight exhibit. <\/p>\n

When: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. <\/p>\n

Where: The Tucson Botanical Gardens<\/p>\n

Murder at the Magic Show II<\/b><\/p>\n

The Tucson Dinner Theater is hosting a mystery and magic dinner. Attendees can enjoy three hours of mystery and magic entertainment with a three-course meal. Tickets cost $89. <\/p>\n

When: 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Where: The Tucson Dinner Theater<\/p>\n

Anthony Taylor Jr. & Regresso performance<\/b><\/p>\n

Trail Dust Town is hosting a 21+ live music performance featuring country music artists Anthony Taylor Jr. and Regresso. Head to the Savoy Opera House and enjoy a night of country music and dancing. Tickets are $5.<\/p>\n

When: 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Where: Trail Dust Town <\/p>\n

SATURDAY 6\/13<\/h3>\n

Chillin\u2019 at the Chul<\/b><\/p>\n

Every Friday and Saturday until the end of August, the Tohono Chul is holding their Chillin\u2019 at the Chul event. Attendees can expect a night of live music, art, activities and food and drinks from the Garden Bistro. This Saturday will feature nature-based play for kids with the Children\u2019s Museum Oro Valley. Tickets cost $5.<\/p>\n

When: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. <\/p>\n

Where: The Tohono Chul<\/p>\n

Ben\u2019s Bells Bead String Workshop<\/b><\/p>\n

Ben\u2019s Bells is hosting a hands-on workshop on how to make the beads that are part of the Ben\u2019s Bells art installations across the community. Attendees will learn how to shape, decorate and carve the beads. Each one will be fired and used in an art installation. The workshop is 21+ and BYOB. Registration costs $50.<\/p>\n

SUNDAY 6\/14<\/h3>\n

Sonoran Theater Showcase<\/b><\/p>\n

Experience samples from the past and future of the Tucson theater scene. This event will feature 11 Tucson theater companies, local food trucks and music. Tickets cost $20, and 100% of the proceeds will go to scholarship funds for Pima Community College theater students. <\/p>\n

When: 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Where: Pima Community College Proscenium Theatre<\/p>\n

Heirloom Farmers Market<\/b><\/p>\n

Heirloom Farmer\u2019s Markets hosts a Sunday farmers\u2019 market in Rillito Park every week. The non-profit operates five markets around Tucson every week and weekend and works with over 40 local farms and 250 vendors. <\/p>\n

When: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. <\/p>\n

Where: Rillito Park<\/p>\n
