SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 New video and 911 calls are shedding new light on a police shooting near Old Town Scottsdale in May.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. May 6 after officers responded to a shooting at a Circle K near Miller and Camelback roads.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video from inside the store shows people running away from the front door after shots were fired into the store.<\/p>\n

Multiple 911 calls were made after the shooting from different locations, including the store and the Maya Condos, northeast of the store.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a shooting at my store,\u201d one caller said.<\/p>\n

After hearing the shooting, a 911 caller in the area of 77th Avenue and Camelback Road said two men who may have been involved jumped into her yard to hide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re in my backyard,\u201d the woman said. \u201cI just saw them \u2014 my fence. The gunmen. The ones that have been shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Surveillance video that appears to be from an apartment complex shows three men jumping over multiple walls.<\/p>\n

Police said their helicopter arrived and captured video of suspects jumping walls in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

As detectives searched for suspects, they located two men, including Brandon Lamont Robert Warfield Jr., 20, near North 76th Place and East Hazelwood Street, and ran after them, police said. The two men split up, and one jumped a fence into a yard.<\/p>\n

With officers close behind, police said Warfield turned and reached toward his waistband. That is when a detective fired, striking Warfield, police said.<\/p>\n

Body-camera video from the detective who fired was not immediately available. Multiple gunshots could be heard on another detective\u2019s body-camera video.<\/p>\n

Detectives did find a gun next to Warfield as he was being treated for his injuries. <\/p>\n

Warfield was taken to a hospital, where he stayed for three days before he was booked on charges, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The detective involved has seven years of service.<\/p>\n

The Mesa Police Department is investigating the officer-involved shooting. Four other suspects were later arrested in connection with the case.<\/p>\n
