PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> Cell phone video shows a FedEx truck driving off road near a sidewalk, cutting around a long line of cars and running a red light in the west valley.<\/p>\n

Damien Willingham, owner of ClearSkai Technologies, recorded the video while running errands for his tech company.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy immediate reaction was just kind of shocked, I couldn\u2019t believe kind of what I was seeing,\u201d Willingham said.<\/p>\n

The video shows the FedEx truck driving off road to get around traffic stopped at the Golden Lane and 75th Avenue intersection in Peoria.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere comes this crazy FedEx driver,\u201d Willingham said.<\/p>\n

Willingham said his biggest worry was if someone was walking on the sidewalk while the truck was passing.<\/p>\n

\u201cPackages can be replaced, but people can\u2019t, and public safety and the importance of that should never be put above any package delivery ever,\u201d Willingham said.<\/p>\n

The FedEx truck then moved back onto the road at the intersection and continued through while the light was still red, appearing to have a close call with a red car.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, it was definitely close. There was no question,\u201d Willingham said.<\/p>\n

Willingham said they had only been sitting at the red light about 10 seconds when he noticed the FedEx truck go off road. He said the light turned green about 10 seconds after he stopped recording.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a business owner, I completely understand deadlines and timelines and I get it, but the importance of safety and especially public safety or road laws, they\u2019re there for a reason,\u201d Willingham said.<\/p>\n

Willingham recorded the video hoping the driver could be identified and steps are taken to make sure this doesn\u2019t happen again.<\/p>\n

\u201cEither get that man some help or training, obviously, because that\u2019s not the best driving,\u201d Willingham said.<\/p>\n

FedEx confirmed the driver no longer works for them and released a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cSafety is our highest priority, and the behavior depicted in this video is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the high standards we expect from our service providers. We can confirm this individual is no longer providing service on behalf of FedEx,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
