PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Phoenix police released frightening 911 calls Tuesday that describe the chaos at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport\u2019s Terminal 4 following a shooting on Christmas night 2024. <\/p>\n

\u201cOh my God, please! I\u2019m at the airport! He just f****** shot her! Oh my God!\u201d a woman told dispatchers after gunshots rang out at a restaurant outside of the security checkpoint around 9:40 p.m., causing mass panic and a shelter-in-place order. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in Terminal 4, and I\u2019m in the lobby,\u201d the caller said. \u201cI\u2019m in Terminal 4 before the gates.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dispatchers had trouble talking to the woman after that, only hearing screams during the call.<\/p>\n

\u201cOK, sir, caller, you\u2019re on the line with me. Can you tell me where in the terminal? You have any idea?\u201d one dispatcher asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s not answering at all. I\u2019ve got security on. They\u2019re looking at cameras,\u201d another said.<\/p>\n

They later said they looked around the food court, near Chelsea\u2019s Kitchen on Level 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just really freaked out,\u201d the caller said. \u201cThe dad has the gun. The dad took the gun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another caller heard the gunshots but couldn\u2019t find any officers.<\/p>\n

\u201cShots were fired and I don\u2019t know where the police are,\u201d he told 911. \u201cSomebody shot. There was, somebody shot a gun. And I think somebody was injured. Somebody shot a gun across from Chelsea\u2019s Kitchen by Wildflower.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to police, a family fight led to an adult firing a gun multiple times, hitting a woman and a teenage boy. The teen boy cut the shooter with a knife. Another man was also injured.<\/p>\n

The shooter and a teenage girl were later detained.<\/p>\n

Police said two of the people involved worked at the airport but didn\u2019t say which ones. <\/p>\n

The woman who was shot was in critical condition but survived. The three others had minor injuries.<\/p>\n

In March 2025, Phoenix police recommended charges against two men, one woman, two girls and a boy. The suspects\u2019 names were not released. The charges included aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and unlawful imprisonment.<\/p>\n

The Maricopa County attorney\u2019s office said Monday evening that Jesus Casas was sentenced to three years in prison for illegally having a gun.<\/p>\n

The others were turned down because there was not a likelihood of a conviction, the office said.<\/p>\n
