PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Arizona\u2019s Family is learning more about the violent past of the man police say shot and killed his pregnant teen girlfriend. <\/p>\n

He also shot two other women the same night. The shooting happened outside a home in the Westpark neighborhood near Broadway Road and Miller Road on May 14.<\/p>\n

\u2018This could\u2019ve been prevented\u2019<\/h2>\n

Another young woman said she reported the suspect\u2019s threatening behavior to police, but nothing was done about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis could\u2019ve been prevented a long time ago. My heart hurts for her and her family and just thinking that could\u2019ve been me,\u201d Chianne Brown said. Brown is now 19 years old but dated Michael Sanchez when she was 17. <\/p>\n

During our interview, you could see the fear in Brown\u2019s eyes as she thought about what could have happened to her while she dated Michael Sanchez.<\/p>\n

Sanchez is facing three counts of first-degree murder after police said he shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend, Rylee Montgomery. She was 16 years old.<\/p>\n

Sanchez is accused of shooting two other women. One was also pregnant. She was forced to give birth prematurely and the baby didn\u2019t make it. <\/p>\n

The third woman is still fighting for her life in the hospital.<\/p>\n

It was a horrific act of violence that Brown and her mom say could\u2019ve been prevented.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was threatening to hurt me, harm me, because I wasn\u2019t answering the phone,\u201d Brown said. <\/p>\n

Brown added that Sanchez physically abused her, too. <\/p>\n

Brown explained that she called the police about Sanchez twice.<\/p>\n

Once, Sanchez allegedly made threats through text messages and sent a picture of himself holding a gun.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first time we talked to the cops was when we were reporting the text messages,\u201d Brown said. <\/p>\n

Brown says she called police a second time after Sanchez showed up at her home, to which officers responded.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was throwing something at the door and was taking bricks from the house and throwing it at the door. The police said he was going end up killing someone in jail or dead. But then another cop we talked to said he didn\u2019t seem that capable of doing that, they weren\u2019t taking it seriously,\u201d Brown said. <\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s mother did not want to be identified by name but says she\u2019s thankful her daughter made it out of that relationship with Sanchez alive.<\/p>\n

Now she\u2019s searching for accountability.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy goal for this whole thing is there has to be a way that things of this nature, especially with youth, of course for adults too, but starting with the youth, is domestic violence; it has to be nipped in the bud. It can\u2019t be swept under the rug, because look how this ended. So tragically,\u201d Brown\u2019s mother added. <\/p>\n

After talking with several families who had run-ins with Sanchez and filed police reports, there seems to be a pattern. Arizona\u2019s Family has requested the police report for this case.<\/p>\n

We have previously reported that the victim in the shooting, Rylee Montgomery, tried to report Sanchez\u2019s behavior to police several times, but detectives said there was not enough evidence to support a crime. <\/p>\n

Sanchez is due back in court Wednesday.<\/p>\n
