BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A 22-year-old woman remains in a medically induced coma after being shot multiple times in a Buckeye shooting earlier this month that left a teenage girl and two babies dead.<\/p>\n

Myah Hembree is in the ICU on a ventilator, fighting to stay alive. She has been in a coma for 15 days, according to her family.<\/p>\n

Hembree was shot several times. She lost her spleen and has massive damage to her liver and stomach, a severe lung infection and broken bones, her parents said.<\/p>\n

Suspect indicted on murder charges<\/h2>\n

The man accused of pulling the trigger was indicted Tuesday. Michael Sanchez, 18, is facing eight felony charges, including three for first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.<\/p>\n

A second man has also been charged. Antonio Tequida is accused of helping Sanchez get away from the scene of the crime. He was indicted on one count of hindering prosecution. Tequida has a $100,000 cash-only bond.<\/p>\n

Hembree is good friends with the other victims, 17-year-old Abby and 16-year-old Rylee Montgomery, which is why she was with them the night they were all shot.<\/p>\n

Rylee and her unborn baby died at the scene. Abby was released from the hospital but was forced to give birth prematurely after she was shot. Her baby died last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cMyah remains in critical condition in ICU and continues to fight for her life every day. While she still faces significant medical challenges, she is showing incredible strength and determination,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday marks an important step in the legal process, and we trust that justice will take its course. Right now, our focus remains where it has always been\u2014on Myah\u2019s healing, recovery, and the support she needs to overcome the unimaginable injuries she has endured.\u201d<\/p>\n
