Oro Valley man accused of stealing more than $10 million from investors

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – An Oro Valley man has been accused of stealing more than $10 million from investors while claiming to have military contracts with foreign governments.

According to a criminal complaint, 40-year-old Brandon Aaron Kreutz is facing charges of wire fraud and money laundering. He had his initial court appearance on Wednesday, May 20, and was released the next day on his own recognizance.

Kreutz, who is also known as Brandon Aaron Moushey, is accused of lying to at least three investors about having multi-million dollar contracts with foreign governments. He allegedly told them he held a patent on a firearm device and that the foreign governments wanted to buy it.

The federal government said Kreutz never applied for said patent, didn’t have any manufacturing abilities or contacts, experience in the alleged business, or any contracts with foreign governments.

Kreutz allegedly spent the victims’ money on a $1.1 million Oro Valley home, home improvement projects, luxury and exotic vehicles, a race car, a membership for a racing club, travel and high-value firearms and accessories.

The government claims Kreutz hid some of the money in other businesses he owned, like Vice Fitness, based in Oro Valley.

According to a property records check, the Oro Valley home Kreutz bought is in the 2300 block of East Della Rocca Court, which is near North First Avenue and North Oracle Road.

According to the Arizona Corporation Commission and Bizapedia, Kreutz is listed as the director and CEO of Vice Fitness. The business is located in the 690 block of East Nubra Valley Place and was incorporated on Sept. 6, 2022. The ACC said the license was set to be dissolved due to a failure to file its annual report.

Kreutz was also listed as an owner of Brandon Kreutz Custom, LLC, which is based in the 12400 block of North Starthroat Drive in Marana. That business is apparently part of Starklock, LLC, which is backed in Scottsdale.

The Independent, an online newspaper in England, reported that Kreutz was previously accused of Stolen Valor. While Kreutz did serve, he allegedly claimed to have been a member of SEAL Team 9, which doesn’t exist.

The Independent reported that Kreutz was the subject of a 2018 video by Don Shipley, a former SEAL who exposes people who lie about their military service.
