TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The first St. Jude Dream Home in the Tucson area was unveiled with a ribbon-cutting in the Fairfield Arcadia neighborhood in Catalina on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

All 8,000 tickets for the dream home giveaway supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have sold. But the public can still see the house in person and register to win a prize.
Melinda Mulek and the team at Elevated Interiors staged the home with the eventual winner in mind.
“We want it to be warm and welcoming; we want them to wake up with this view,” Mulek said.
Home designed for entertaining
Mulek said the home was staged to take advantage of opportunities for family gatherings, entertaining and 360-degree views.

“This is the main room, kind of the main gathering room,” Mulek said.
“You have not only the fireplace as a focal point but also the views, so it’s a double win,” Mulek said. “We are envisioning people entertaining here, the indoor-outdoor living, birthday parties, holidays…”
Open house details
The home will be open for tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays from Sept. 26 through Nov. 15.
Visitors can register for free at the house for a chance to win a Ride and Recharge package, which includes hybrid comfort bikes and accessory packages for two.
The home is located in the Arcadia by Fairfield Homes community at 3355 East Hawser Street in Catalina.
