Coffee chain 7 Brew wins bid for shuttered Salad And Go stores

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Several Salad And Go locations that were shut down last month when the company went bankrupt could get new life very soon.

Coffee chain 7 Brew won a bid for 73 closed Salad And Go stores, including 41 in Arizona, according to paperwork filed Tuesday.

The acquisition gives 7 Brew a significant start to massive growth in the Arizona market. The popular coffee chain with over 750 nationwide locations currently has two locations in Tucson and one coming soon to Queen Creek.

7 Brew’s bid of more than $143 million beat out competitor Dutch Bros. to be awarded the locations in the bankruptcy auction.

The Arizona locations set to be converted into 7 Brew stores include 35 in the Phoenix metro area. Not all of the closed Salad And Go locations were included in the auction.

Before the acquisition becomes final, a court is set to consider approval of the 73 leases during a hearing on Sept. 21.
