TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Pima County emergency crews are working to rescue 19 kids and one driver from a flooded wash.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says this is happening at West Manville Road and North Reservation Road.
A spokesperson for Avra Valley Fire says the 19 children and one driver are on dry land, but need to cross two other washes.
Crews are taking the children a few at a time using a 4×4 vehicle.
Another school bus is on the way to transport kids to school when that time comes.

The PCSD says people should avoid the area while crews work to clear the scene.
