TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Human remains were found in a wash near Interstate 10 and Silverlake Road early Thursday, Aug. 13.

The Tucson Police Department confirmed that the remains, which were mostly bones, were located in a wash off South Santa Cruz Lane.
The TPD said the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner recovered the remains, and it is being investigated as an unknown death.
It appears the remains were there for an extended amount of time, and it was not a case of a person washed away during a flooding event.
