TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Mountain View High School was briefly placed on lockdown on Aug. 5.

Marana Unified School District said the lockdown was issued in response to nearby police activity. Pima County made the recommendation to keep the campus safe.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said students reported hearing gunshots in the intersection near the school, but preliminary investigations did not find anything.
