TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Police Department needs help to find a suspect in the disappearance and death of 19-year-old Jeanne Overstreet.

The TPD said Overstreet was last seen in September 1982 when she was hitchhiking near Stone and University to meet someone for lunch.
Overstreet, who had a puppy, never arrived and was reported missing by her family.
Skeletal remains were discovered in a remote desert area of Pinal County in November 1983, but investigators could not identify the victim at the time.
It wasn’t until 2012 that the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner used DNA technology to identify the remains as Overstreet.
Detectives believe someone may have information that could help move this case forward.

Detectives are sharing Jeanne’s photograph in hopes of generating new leads and encouraging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to contact 88-CRIME or go to www.88crime.org to remain anonymous.
