TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Police Department needs the public’s help in the cold case disappearance and death of 19-year-old Jeanne Overstreet.

The TPD says Overstreet was last seen in September 1982.
She was believed to be hitchhiking to the area of North Stone Avenue and University Boulevard to meet someone for lunch but never arrived.
In November 1983, skeletal remains were discovered in a remote desert area of Pinal County.
With the forensic technology available at the time, investigators could not identify the victim.
It wasn’t until 2012 that the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner used DNA technology to identify Overstreet’s remains.

Detectives believe someone may have information that could help move this case forward.
Detectives are sharing Jeanne’s photograph in hopes of generating new leads and encouraging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.
